London District Catholic School Board
London District Catholic School Board (LDCSB) is separate from the public board, but is also publicly funded. For this reason, Catholic schools are often referred to as "separate schools".
Catholic schools provide an environment that integrates religious instruction, Gospel values and spiritual formation into an academic curriculum. All Catholic schools have strong links to parish churches.
LDCSB has 50 elementary and eight secondary schools serving children from Junior Kindergarten through to grade 12. Catholic schools offer the same curriculum as public schools and are regulated by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
Students attend the school closest to their neighbourhood. Services for students with special needs and transportation (school bus) are available.
LDCSB offers several specialized programs, including French Immersion, special education, a music and art program, gifted education, workforce-readiness and a prestigious International Baccalaureate program. All schools are equipped with audio-visual, computer and library resources that reflect today's high-tech society and need for information.
