Conseil scolaire de district du Cente-Sud-Ouest is the public school board for French education in London and Middlesex County. This school board operates 27 elementary and eight secondary schools. School curriculum follows Ontario Ministry of Education standards.
Elementary Schools - preschool to grade six
École Marie-Curie was the first French language school to open its doors in London. Over 220 students enjoy a well-rounded education taught in French. The school has many extracurricular activities such as gymnastics, karate, a checkers club, basketball, volleyball, choir and a skipping club.
Académie de la Tamise conducts all teaching and activities in French. The school has a large gymnasium, library, computer lab and an art studio. Services are offered to children with learning difficulties and the school is fully wheelchair accessible. A Francophone pre-school is located on-site. Working parents can enroll children in before and after school programs.
Secondary Schools - grade 7 to 12
École secondaire Gabriel-Dumont is a secondary school for students whose first language is French. Many of the students at Gabriel-Dumont are French Canadians, but over half come from other countries of the world whose first language is French. Subject offerings range from Canadian and International Studies, Social Sciences, English, French and Math to Physical Education, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
Gabriel-Dumont has an active student's council that organizes school dances, movie nights, student retreats, information nights and school trips.
